On the evening of July 8th, the Guangzhou Fluorescent Night Run Competition was held in Yuexiu Park, Guangzhou. A total of 500 participants are from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, consisting of four groups like family group, adult group and youth group.

The competition lasts 60 minutes with a race distance of 3.3 kilometers, along which there are 12 quest checkpoints and three themed interactive challenges. Participants need to answer questions at quest checkpoints and pass the challenges by recording videos themed "Carbon Absorption Capacity Calculation", "Plants Identification", and "Get Close to Nature, Enjoy Running in China".
As the whistle sounded, the participants started running in Yuexiu Park with fluorescent devices.
They passed through famous landmarks in Guangzhou such as the Five-Ram Sculpture Guangzhou Museum, and the Guangzhou Ancient City Wall, experiencing the historical and cultural charm of Guangzhou. In addition, participants also crossed a low-carbon ecological path 12 kilometers long in Yuexiu Park, including key areas such as the South Asian Tropical Style Area, the Water Ecological Restoration Area, and the Lingnan Style Area, to learn about the achievements done by Yuexiu Park in the conservation of plants and animals and the garden construction.
Participant Ms. Wu and her 10-year-old daughter teamed up in the fluorescent night run as a family group. Wu said that she often takes her daughter to Yuexiu Park to row boats before, but the fluorescent night run was a new experience. According to Wu, "The competition is free. It not only allows us to exercise but also encourages children to go outdoors and know more know about famous attractions in Guangzhou through sports competitions."

7月8日晚，广州荧光夜跑大赛在广州市越秀公园举办。来自粤港澳大湾区的亲子家庭、成人组、青年组等4个组别，共500名选手参加比赛。
本次比赛时长为60分钟，赛事路程3.3公里，设置12个打卡答题闯关点及“碳汇计算闯关”“植物花卉辨认闯关”“亲近自然，乐跑中国”主题视频录制闯关3个互动闯关任务点。
随着鸣笛开赛声响，选手们戴着荧光设备在越秀公园奔跑起来。
选手们途经广州著名景点五羊石像、广州博物馆、古城墙等，领略广州历史文化古韵。此外，选手们还途经越秀公园1.2公里的低碳生态径精华区域，如南亚热带风情区、水生态修复区、岭南风韵区等科普节点，感受越秀公园动植物保护和园林建设成果。
市民吴小姐和10岁女儿组队，以亲子组参加荧光夜跑比赛。吴小姐说，经常带女儿到越秀公园划船，在越秀公园参加荧光夜跑别有一番新鲜感：“活动是免费报名的，除了能锻炼身体，还能让小朋友走出户外，以体育竞技方式认识广州著名景点。”
